Email Information
I will gladly accept email at the address below. Keep in mind the following guidelines:
- Please remember that I am not a doctor. I cannot make treatment
suggestions or diagnose diseases, especially not over the Internet.
- If you send me possible corrections to anything, I will make the appropriate
changes to the web site as soon as possible. Please include as much detail
as possible, at the very least include the title of the web page. Since I
expect many such corrections early on, do not expect an email response. Your
name will be added to the Contributors
page, under the "Error Corrections" section.
- If you have comments about the site in general, or particular information
I've published, I will try to respond to your comments both on the web site
and via email, as long as your comments are well-written and rational (see
next point).
- If you'd like to 'flame' me or the site, don't expect an email response. I
may (if I feel like it) publish parts your rants on the web site, for all to
see and ridicule. I might even publish a response.
- Any mail that I publish on the web site will be edited, by me, due to space,
copyright, and/or language concerns (I must abide by the Terms Of Use or
Acceptable Use Policy of my Internet Service Provider). In particular, if
you mix corrections with comments, expect that I will trim the corrections
out, and publish only parts of the comments along with my response. If you
want me to publish your entire email, unedited (except for the language
concerns), you must explicitly state that desire in your email, and grant
me the appropriate rights to copy your text.
- All personal information in email that I decide to publish will be trimmed
in order to render the author unidentifiable, unless I am explicitly
told within the email that I may publish your full name and/or email
address. Exempt from this rule are the authors (or manufacturers) of the
information presented in this web site. In other words, if a person
creates treatment XYZ, and I review it, and that person emails me to
comment on my review (good or bad), expect that I will publish a full
explanation of who was making the comments (and even a link back to my
own review for good measure).
- Please do not send me offers for a "free trial" for any product or therapy. I will refuse them as a matter of principle. I also will not offer up any of the other psoriatics I know as guinea pigs or "test subjects" or "evaluators" or anything else.
- Please do send me detailed information about up-coming psoriasis-related events which you, or someone you know, are hosting.
- Do not send me full reviews of products, treatments, or anything else (informational articles,
personal experiences, etc.) without my having asked you to do so. Such
unsolicited work will be ignored, so don't waste your time.
- Due to the volume of mail I receive and the fact that I do this in my spare time, please do not expect a response.
